That which I took for granted
Has ceased to be a home
Once alive; enchanted, benign
Now has turned to stone
And in the fog there forming
A face I can not see
Speaks below a whisper
"What hast thou done to thee"
Winter rages forward
As ice swallows cordial brown
I will receive the flowers
Bequeathed to hollow ground
Such is but a child
Writhing in the sand
No inquiries beseech you
Brought not from mother's hand

Running From Lions

I don't understand why it took so long
I knew from the beginning there was something wrong
so come on death, come on,
I'll follow along take me by the hand
The instinct woke me I was fast asleep
Drowning out the drones in the summer heat
Faces they turn and stare
And though I'm going nowhere I can't help but run
I never knew life would be so much fun
Hide from the planes till the morning comes

Searching For Food
01:20
|
|||
I've been walking for days
On a low level sky
Now the cold front flies in
Fingers pry at my eyes
A cause with no name and no shame there to hide
Birds flew discreetly, made homes in the hull
Their song was so sweet, still unbelievably dull
I knew it all would deplete then, in time with the lull
So I took your hammer to the rim of my skull
The pain made a hole in my head
made it rain through the pain made
a hole in my head made it rain through the
pain made a hole, and my head made it rain
